The LIYANA kids are growing up!
As our storytelling stars transition out of high school, we are excited to be able to support their continued education through the LIYANA Education Fund.
The eldest, Nomcebo, is already in her 2nd year of University in Eswatini studying social work. She is doing wonderfully.
Soon several more will be moving on to university. Zweli is interested in media studies. Phumlani aspires to be an agriculture professor. Mkhuleko wants to pursue engineering. And Sibusiso is a talented musician, artist, and writer.
We’ve raised more than $30,000 so far!
Funds raised will be used directly for students' costs for higher education including university tuition and vocational training as well as travel and boarding when needed.
Each student must apply for scholarship and awards will be determined by a committee that includes members from African Leadership Partners, the board of Likhaya Lemphilio Lensha, and the LIYANA film team.
