Variety Magazine broke the exciting news about LIYANA's attachment to the non-profit media company Shine Global today.
We are thrilled to have Shine Global co-founders, Susan MacLaury & Albie Hecht, join the project as executive producers. Shine Global's films have won more than 50 major awards including an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short subject for Inocente and an Academy Award-nomination for War/Dance. Sony Pictures Classic acquired the Sundance premiered film, The Eagle Huntress, produced in association with Shine Global, earlier this year.
Our hearts and goals align perfectly with Shine Global's mission; we're honored to work with them on LIYANA.
